Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welding Specialist for a 2nd shift position from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM. This role offers a temp-to-hire opportunity for the right candidate.

Requirements

Applicants must provide a resume, participate in an interview, pass a drug test, and complete E-Verify.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $20 to $22 per hour, negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate welding machinery, troubleshooting and adjusting equipment as necessary.
  • Perform MIG welding on materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, with thicknesses ranging from 12g to 20g.
  • Adhere to safety protocols at all times.
  • Follow the production schedule as directed by the Plant Manager and Foreman.
  • Assist in the layout and fabrication of projects alongside fabricators.
  • Engage in the assembly of products and skids as needed.
  • Timely reporting of any concerns, issues, or material shortages.
Additional Duties
  • Support fabricators in the proper setup and operation of equipment.
  • Safely operate powered pallet jacks (training and certification will be provided).
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Foreman.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the metal fabrication sector.
  • Understanding of safety and operational standards within the metal fabrication industry.
  • Ability to interpret basic blueprints.
  • Proficiency in basic shop mathematics.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
