Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Atrium Health Navicent. As a CT Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients.

About the Role
  • Location: Macon, Georgia
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year (based on experience)

In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring, processing, and submitting CT images for interpretation. You will also provide exceptional patient care, communicate effectively with healthcare teams, and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities
  1. Position patients and formulate techniques to demonstrate cross-sectional anatomy of interest based on accepted radiographic principles.
  2. Judge diagnostic quality of finished medical images prior to submission to radiologist for interpretation.
  3. Communicate with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and confirm acknowledgment of patients' understanding.
  4. Perform venipuncture for administration of radiopaque media and assist in obtaining informed consent as appropriate.
  5. Review all diagnostic imaging requests for appropriateness based on clinical information provided.
  6. Takes verbal orders from providers as needed and enters appropriately in RIS system.
  7. Prepare and maintain records in accordance with various regulatory agencies and enter patient and study information into the radiology information system.
Requirements
  • Education: High School or GED Diploma Graduate; Graduate of AMA, JRC or Regionally Accredited approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Certification: ARRT Registered or Registry eligible through the ARRT; ARRT CT registry required
