We are currently in search of a Senior Systems Architect to contribute to a USAF contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain system and sub-system design documentation to assist software engineers in modifying existing or creating new integrated software capabilities.
  • Collaborate on Operational Flight Program (OFP) software development and modifications with a diverse team of engineers and specialists.
  • Address configuration challenges by gathering data, analyzing conflicts with other subsystems, and facilitating integration and modification planning.
  • Design interface modifications and onboard software; assess electrical and software interfaces; ensure verification and validation of on-aircraft designs.
  • Conduct engineering studies, compile data, coordinate with engineers, and assist in finalizing documentation.
  • Manage changes through the ECP process, ensuring risk assessment and management, supporting the CCB, and conducting data reviews.
  • Engage in special research initiatives.
  • Assist in the execution of technical orders and documentation.
  • Perform laboratory qualification testing.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Work Schedule

  • Facilities typically operate from 6am to 6pm, allowing flexibility in setting hours with customer leadership.
  • Flex time is available during the two-week pay cycle to accommodate appointments without using PTO.
  • Employees can choose between a standard 5-day workweek or a 5/4/9 schedule.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a Secret clearance or the capability to obtain one.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline with 8+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Ability to effectively plan and prioritize tasks, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Independent thinker, capable of delivering high-quality work both independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Professional experience in software development, including familiarity with:
    • XML, HTML, Java Script, Perl, ASP, and similar scripting languages.
    • Operating systems such as Windows, Linux, Unix, Solaris, VMS, RTOS.
    • Programming languages including LabView, ADA, C, C++, .Net technology, Java, Fortran, Assembly, Jovial, Visual Basic.
    • Experience with MIL-STD-1553B Bus Monitor functions and communication.
    • Knowledge of A-10 avionics.
  • Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
