Microsoft Quantum is revolutionizing the world of computing with its cutting-edge quantum technology. As a Quantum Measurement Engineer, you will play a crucial role in advancing our quantum practices and developing innovative measurement techniques.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of measurement methods to gauge device characteristics and properties
  • Collaborate across teams to leverage company expertise, including hardware, software, and algorithms
  • Document work and make results available internally and externally to the team
  • Partner with others to measure characteristics and properties
  • Apply understanding of instrumentation involved, including measurement techniques, wiring, and filtering strategies for low-temperature applications
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in industry or research and development environment
  • Experience with experimenting with low-dimensional semiconductors, superconductivity, or quantum information processing devices
  • Experience with data acquisition and programming in a high-level language (e.g., Python, MATLAB)
  • Experience with RF reflectometry or cavity quantum electrodynamics (cQED) measurements or pulsed measurements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Physics, Engineering, or related field, or Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience
  • 4+ years of experience with experimenting with low-dimensional semiconductors, superconductivity, or quantum information processing devices
  • 4+ years of experience with data acquisition and programming in a high-level language
  • 4+ years of experience with RF reflectometry or cQED measurements and/or pulsed measurements
