Licensed Practical Nurse LPN

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Cardiology Unit at UPMC. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with patient care tasks, including feeding, toileting, and transferring patients
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians and document accurately
- Monitor patient conditions and report any unusual symptoms or changes
- Participate in environmental and equipment maintenance, including cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment
- Assist with patient admissions, orientation, transfers, and discharges
- Must have a temporary permit or a valid license as a practical nurse in the State of Pennsylvania
- Must successfully pass the Altoona Hospital pharmacology challenge exam
- Must maintain CPR certification
- Must take nurse assignment at the top of LPN license in a Med/Surg/Tele OR Emergency Department setting
- Competitive hourly rate of $20.90/hour, plus shift differential
- Sign-on bonus available for nurses with 1 or more years of experience
