Riverside Services is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Irrigation Technician to join our team. As a key member of our landscape design and build team, you will leverage your expertise to enhance commercial and residential properties in the Greater Boston Area.
This is a unique opportunity to work with a premier company that offers a range of challenges and opportunities for growth. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $28 to $40.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair complex irrigation systems, including wiring controllers and valves, pressure testers, and trenching/pulling pipe.
- Operate company equipment such as trenchers, pullers, trucks, and tampers.
- Collaborate with customers, subcontractors, and architects to deliver exceptional results.
- Manage administrative tasks, including ordering materials and tracking schedules and budgets.
- Lead a team of one to two employees and report to the Irrigation Lawn Care Manager.
- Ensure a safe and productive work environment for your team.
- Translate irrigation plans and drawings to prepare and lay out job sites.
- Diagnose and provide solutions for complex system issues.
- Manage seasonal startups and winterizations.
- Map and identify controller locations, valve boxes, and water sources.
- Adjust, repair, and install landscape lighting.
- Create and manage cut sheets of component types.
- Participate in continuous education and training.
- Support lawn care, outdoor lighting installations, account managers, and snow maintenance teams.
- 3+ years' experience diagnosing, repairing, and installing irrigation systems.
- Valid driver's license and DOT certification.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
- Strong customer collaboration skills.
- Ability to contribute to the Snow Division and work during winter months.
