Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, operating equipment, and maintaining related records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification, and exposure techniques.
  • Operate and maintain all equipment within the modality, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Set up and adjust immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Review and analyze patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology to perform procedures effectively.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records, adhering to Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
  • Participate in the educational training of students, sharing knowledge and expertise to support their growth and development.
Requirements
  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Certification as a Certified Radiology Technologist within 24 months, obtained through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a clinical environment.
