Production/Development Specialist

As a key member of The Moret Group, you will oversee production for a high-volume account in the mass-market space. This role offers invaluable experience working with overseas teams and the opportunity to enhance your knowledge of the development and production process.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve product development/production milestones and resolve issues as they arise

Communicate with factories daily to ensure timely and efficient production

Manage bulk fabric quality approvals to maintain high-quality standards

Manage trim quality/color approvals to ensure consistency and accuracy

Manage PP/TOP garment approvals to guarantee product quality

Maintain development and production books of fabrics and trim approvals for each season

Assist in organizing samples in the design showroom to facilitate easy access and review

Prepare color cards and lab dip charts for internal and external use to ensure accurate color representation

Assist in preparing pitch decks and samples for client presentations as needed to showcase product offerings

Requirements:

Degree in fashion/apparel focus or comparable knowledge/experience

Knowledgeable about fabric and garment construction to ensure high-quality products

Working knowledge of the activewear market landscape to stay up-to-date on industry trends

Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator required for design and production tasks

Excellent color vision/acuity required for accurate color representation

Working knowledge of overseas product development process to ensure seamless production

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Self-sufficient and able to work independently or as part of a group to achieve team goals

Creative problem solver and strategic thinker to drive innovation and success

Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in activewear product development to bring expertise and knowledge to the role

3+ years of experience with overseas production to ensure smooth production processes

Experience with mass market price point to understand customer needs and preferences

Additional Information:

This is a full-time opportunity with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for one day of remote work per week

The position will be based in New York City - Midtown Manhattan, with opportunities for growth and development within the company
