Job Overview

Origis Energy is a leading renewable energy company accelerating the transition to a carbon-free future. As a Solar Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting solar power plants to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain solar power plants in accordance with established standards and procedures
  • Troubleshoot system problems and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Provide a working knowledge of troubleshooting electrical components using digital multi-meters, meggers, amp clamps, and similar equipment
  • Document work, including work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules
  • Maintain inventory control of assigned equipment to ensure adequate stock levels
  • Train, mentor, and develop laborers into apprentices
  • Ensure continuing education to meet safety and plant requirements
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License REQUIRED
  • 3 years suitable employment experience; High aptitude and a strong work ethic is a must
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to perform basic electrical calculations, read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow, working independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to perform necessary physical activity, including lifting up to 80 Lbs
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
