We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Counselor to join our team at Rogers Behavioral Health. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will work with patients and their families to provide therapeutic treatment services, social services, and support to help them achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to patients
- Develop and implement treatment plans to address patients' mental health needs
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers as required
- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Full, independent licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- At least two years of experience in a psychiatric setting
- Working knowledge of therapeutic interventions and techniques for all age groups
- American Red Cross Professional Rescue certification
- Formal training in the management of aggressive patients
