Infant Room Lead Teacher

The Lead Teacher in our Infant Room is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where infants can grow and thrive. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, documenting developmental milestones, and communicating effectively with parents and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Child Care and Supervision: Provide attentive and responsive care to infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Supervise and engage infants in age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Curriculum Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with infants' developmental needs and Learning experience requirements, incorporating activities that foster growth in all developmental domains.
- Documentation and Assessment: Observe and document each infant's developmental progress, including milestones and any concerns. Maintain accurate records of each child's activities, routines, and developmental achievements.
- Parent Communication and Involvement: Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, daily activities, and any concerns. Provide parent-teacher conferences to discuss developmental milestones and address any questions or concerns.
- Professionalism and Ethics: Adhere to all licensing regulations, health and safety guidelines, and organizational policies. Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of children, families, and staff.
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field OR level 4 and above on the Oklahoma Registry.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting.
- Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification; additional certifications may be required based on state regulations.
- Ability to lift and carry infants and young children.
- Ability to sit on the floor and engage in activities with infants.
- Ability to respond quickly to the needs of infants in a fast-paced environment.
