Job Summary:

The Outpatient Therapist - Child & Adolescent will work with clients to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health and co-occurring disorders. You will maintain clinical charts, collaborate with other departments, and participate in professional development activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual, group, and family treatment to assigned clients
  • Maintain clinical charts in an accurate and timely manner
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure clients receive appropriate services
  • Participate in professional development activities
  • Adhere to Starfish Family Services policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or other related human services field
  • Current valid professional licensure/certification in the State of Michigan
  • At least one year of experience in the assessment, diagnosing, and treatment of children and youth
  • Ability to work flexible hours and demonstrate compassion and sensitivity
Competencies and Abilities:
  • Comprehensive therapeutic skills, including assessment and treatment of children and adults
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of theory and practice of individual, group, and family systems treatment
Licensing and Other Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation
