Job Title: SBIRT Therapist - Addiction Recovery Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SBIRT Therapist to join our team at Detroit Recovery Project. As a Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing expert care to individuals struggling with addiction challenges. Your primary responsibility will be to employ the SBIRT model in a collaborative outpatient setting, working closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans and provide intensive therapy to address complex social problems.

Key Responsibilities:

* Screen, assess, diagnose, and create treatment plans to help clients on their path to recovery
* Participate in treatment team conferences and collaborate with other professionals, family members, and referral sources
* Research and locate available help outlets based on clients' needs, offering both in-house and external referrals
* Follow up on the services clients are referred to, ensuring their participation and program compliance
* Maintain flexible hours to meet the needs of our clients and agency

Requirements:

* Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
* At least 2 years of experience in a mental health setting as a Therapist or an equivalent combination of experience and education
* LMSW, LP, or LPC License in the State of Michigan
* Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP) Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) Certificate, or MCBAP CAADC Development Plan (required for providing Substance Use Disorder Services)
* A valid and unrestricted State of Michigan Driver's License and insurance
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
* Proficiency with EMR systems is a plus
