Job Summary

The Principal Financial Analyst at NextEra Energy Transmission leads financial analysis and valuation for acquisitions and greenfield infrastructure projects that accelerate the electric industry's transition to renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform financial due diligence and prepare investment valuations of acquisitions and greenfield projects in the energy industry.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of engagement assignments with Development Group Leaders.
  • Review and sign off on engagement work products and presentations.
  • Present at executive management vetting meetings.
  • Develop and maintain policies and standards for functional area (QAQC, document retention, model approaches, etc.).
  • Implement Valuation Group's initiatives, goals and objectives.
  • Perform goal setting, evaluation and mentoring of direct reports.
  • Promote staff career development and advancement opportunities.
  • Assist in group hiring and training processes.
  • Work with third party bankers and consultants on acquisition related diligence as necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 6+ years of experience in financial analysis or a related field.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification preferred.
  • Master's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
