This position entails providing direct patient care, including IV therapy, in accordance with the Licensed Practical Nurse Act, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will guide and assist ancillary nursing staff with their responsibilities while collaborating with the multidisciplinary team and other healthcare professionals. Education

Required: High School diploma or equivalent.

Work Experience
Required: Experience handling confidential information and thriving in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Certifications

Required: Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse from an accredited institution in Louisiana. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred: IV Therapy Credentials.

Heavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Physical demand requirements exceed those for Sedentary Work. Even if the weight lifted may be minimal, a job should be rated Light Work when it requires significant walking or standing; or when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or when the job necessitates working at a production rate pace involving constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even if the weight of those materials is negligible.
