Job Summary:

ASARCO LLC seeks a skilled Machine Mechanic Specialist to join our team. This is a hourly position located in Kearny, AZ. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and structural parts in a shop and field environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret engineering drawings, sketches, work orders, and verbal orders.
  • Install, dismantle, repair, fabricate, lubricate, maintain structures, and install machinery and parts as required.
  • Perform minor welding, cutting, and burning as needed.
  • Inspect and clean machinery on a pre-arranged schedule.
  • Obtain necessary materials and parts to repair equipment.
  • Load and unload material and parts to repair equipment.
  • Report any malfunction of machinery to the foreman.
  • Keep equipment and working areas clean and orderly.
  • Record information relative to work as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Five years' experience as a 'B' Mechanic.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Necessary hand tools to perform the position's requirements.
  • Ability to lift moderately heavy objects, climb, and stand for extended periods.
