As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will work with patients in a skilled nursing facility setting, providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' communication and swallowing abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' communication and swallowing needs
- Provide therapy sessions to patients, including individual and group sessions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, physicians, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field
- Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of New Mexico
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
