Key Responsibilities- Patient Transportation: Safely transport patients to and from the operating room, holding area, or post-anesthesia care unit, ensuring accurate identification and timely arrival.
- OR Suite Turnover: Assist in the efficient turnover of operating rooms, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Patient Care: Assist with basic patient care, positioning, lifting, and transferring patients as directed by nursing staff.
- Supply Management: Restock sterile supplies in OR storage areas and rooms, ensuring adequate inventory levels.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment, adhering to infection control guidelines.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with Sterile Processing to obtain supplies, and with other team members to ensure seamless operations.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities, including temperature and humidity checks, and document results.
- Professional Development: Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: One year of clinical experience in an accredited hospital, with OR experience preferred.
- Certifications: BLS certification required.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and proficiency in equipment operation.
