We leverage our diverse range of services, skilled personnel, innovative technology, and extensive inventory of company-owned assets to provide clients with comprehensive solutions for disaster recovery and large-scale development projects, including those in complex environments.

Position Summary

The National Construction Superintendent will oversee and coordinate all facets of construction projects. This role encompasses performance management, administrative duties, documentation, safety compliance, and client interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain daily communication with operations to ensure project efficiency.
  • Keep clients and insurance representatives informed about project progress.
  • Adhere to company protocols, project guidelines, and safety regulations.
  • Ensure service quality meets the highest standards set by the company.
  • Establish project budgets to guarantee profitability.
  • Manage project execution from inception to completion.
  • Oversee project buy-outs.
  • Develop and manage draw schedules with subcontractors and vendors, obtain necessary permits, and ensure all documentation is properly filed.
  • Create and implement a Site Safety Plan to be followed by field supervisors and labor teams.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with clients and adjusters to foster excellent customer service.
  • Ensure job files contain properly signed contracts and required documentation.
  • Process project files promptly for accurate accounting.
  • Conduct daily Project Management Reviews for job files.
  • Lead Safety Toolbox meetings.
  • Participate in safety investigations to mitigate risks.
  • Provide constructive feedback to Operations and Production Managers regarding job performance.
  • Network consistently with adjusters, the insurance community, and assigned target businesses.
  • Uphold the highest standards of integrity to enhance the Cotton brand image.
  • Manage the hiring of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Direct daily activities on construction sites.
  • Address client and adjuster needs and requests.
  • Resolve conflicts with customers effectively.
  • Monitor operational staff performance and manage changes in project scope.
  • Understand workflow procedures and systems.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Experience:

  • Extensive knowledge of heavy reconstruction projects is required.
  • OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification is a plus.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with workflow procedures and systems.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Valid driving record.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years old with a minimum of three (3) years of verifiable driving experience.
  • No more than two moving violations in the past three years.
  • No repeat seat belt violations.
  • No high-speed moving violations in the past three years.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
