ERP Program Manager Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced ERP Program Manager to lead the implementation and optimization of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, acquiring, allocating, and optimizing resources across all projects, as well as managing issues and risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement effective planning processes, including integrated project schedules that encompass all aspects of the ERP Program.
  • Make timely, effective decisions in a logical and thoughtful manner, weighing conflicting information where necessary.
  • Create and maintain financial management processes that incorporate actual financial performance to forecasted performance and justify all variances.
  • Manage and deliver large and complex ERP engagements to identify design, and implement creative business and technology solutions.
  • Update and manage the ERP system to ensure it provides the company with proper business solutions and accurate results.
  • Analyze data processing modules and identify areas of enhancements and improvements.
  • Provide procedures and reports to identify and resolve data integrity issues.
  • Provide field support by answering questions or handling user support requests/escalations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and/or training in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience implementing large ERP systems such as SAP/Microsoft GP/Dynamics/Oracle.
  • Intermediate skills and knowledge in addressing both business and IT activities associated with an ERP project.
  • Intermediate knowledge of ERP modules: order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, and supply chain inventory.
  • Intermediate skilled in problem-solving skills with acute attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Intermediate skilled in process mapping, gap analysis, requirements gathering, overall solutions definition including process, information, people, and technology components.
  • Advanced skill in documentation and attention to detail.
  • Advanced skill in basic computer functions such as word processors, spreadsheets, and internet usage.

Language Abilities:

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos, and work place policies.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical research journals.
  • Ability to write professional correspondences.
  • Ability to present information in small group and large group situations to customer, strategic business partners, the general public, and other employees.

  • Ability to carry out detailed written and/or verbal instructions.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
