Position Overview
As a vital member of the finance team, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial operations within Willie George Ministries, Inc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Accounting Director in overseeing all financial processes and practices.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports for management, auditors, and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the budget preparation process for the organization.
  • Review and post monthly entries to the general ledger, including payroll, liabilities, and asset management.
  • Maintain and enhance financial reporting for management's review.
  • Coordinate the annual external audit of the organization's financial statements.
  • Assist with monthly bank reconciliations and quarterly reconciliations of the general ledger.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and uphold robust internal controls.
  • Develop and maintain reports on financial metrics and budgets.
  • Guide and mentor the Staff Accountant.
  • Oversee monthly accounting processes to ensure timely closure of financial records.
  • Conduct accounting research and respond to inquiries directed to the finance department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Proven ability to lead and make informed decisions independently.
  • Extensive experience with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in non-profit accounting is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification as a Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Familiarity with Abila MIP Fund Accounting systems.

Work Schedule
This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday.
