Position Overview
As a vital member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for warmly welcoming guests and ensuring a seamless dining experience. Your primary duties will include seating guests efficiently, managing the waiting list, and notifying guests when their tables are ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Seat guests while balancing the workload among the service staff.
- Maintain an accurate waiting list and communicate effectively with guests.
- Process payments and handle transactions in accordance with established protocols.
- Ensure the cash drawer is balanced at the end of your shift.
- Assist with take-out orders and respond to room service inquiries.
- Support the team by clearing and resetting tables as needed.
- Address guest complaints and special requests with professionalism.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A minimum of 6 months of experience in cash handling or food service.
- Relevant certifications such as alcohol awareness or food service permits as mandated by local regulations.
- The ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, as well as perform tasks that involve bending, stooping, and kneeling.
