At HR Professional Consulting, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support our external hiring operation. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a professional office environment and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • New Hire Onboarding
    • Ensure continuity of workflow and communications between recruiters, hiring managers, and HR generalists.
    • Conduct new hire onboarding, ensuring appropriate follow-up, including pre-employment process, screening, background checks, notifications, and coordinating the joining date of candidates.
    • Obtain copies of required documents, such as licenses and certifications, and review for completeness.
    • Stay in touch with new hires regarding changes in dates, times, or process changes.
    • Take pictures and create badges for new hires and explain basic processes as necessary.
  • Employee Data Management
    • Send tax withholding certificates and direct deposit forms to payroll for system inputs.
    • Send badge information to corresponding HR departments for hires at all physical locations.
    • Create assistance documents for new hires.
    • Assist HR generalists with filing to ensure employee files are current and organized.
    • Assist the HR director with special projects as assigned.
  • Quality Service
    • Assist the benefits department during open enrollment with employee questions and provide assistance as needed with open enrollment preparation.
    • Assist employees and applicants with HR questions, provide computer assistance with employee self-service, and applicant tracking.
    • Service walk-ins, contract employees, agency temps, and students with various issues as needed.
    • Prepare routine employment verifications, correspondence, copying, ordering office supplies, and handle telephone inquiries.
