Soliant is actively looking for a committed Special Education Teacher to fill a full-time role within a school district. This position focuses on providing educational support to elementary students diagnosed with autism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored educational instruction to elementary students with autism, adapting lessons to cater to their unique learning requirements.
- Design and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that set specific objectives for each student.
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, support personnel, and related service providers to foster an inclusive educational atmosphere.
- Evaluate and track student progress, modifying teaching strategies as necessary to promote development and learning.
- Ensure effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student achievements and any classroom issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related discipline.
- Current Department of Education Certification.
- Special Education Certification.
- Experience with students on the autism spectrum is preferred.
This full-time role encompasses a structured schedule during the academic year, with hours typically from early morning to mid-afternoon, Monday through Friday.
