Position Details:

  • Job Title: Aquatic Education Specialist
  • Grade: II - $15.00/hour
  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports To: Aquatic Manager, Aquatic Supervisor, Swim School Coordinator
  • Supervises: N/A

Core Responsibilities: As an Aquatic Education Specialist, you will conduct classes with enthusiasm, imparting swimming skills and water safety knowledge to students.

Key Duties:

  • Instruct with creativity, patience, and a positive demeanor.
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students of various ages, backgrounds, and skill levels.
  • Exhibit swimming techniques and safety measures.
  • Design and implement daily lesson plans tailored to student proficiency.
  • Ensure participant safety and maintain essential documentation.
  • Foster excellent customer service and guest relations.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Establish positive relationships with both parents and children.
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Remain composed during emergencies and provide necessary assistance.
  • Adhere to safety standards and protocols.
  • Complete additional assigned tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Education: Some High School education; basic understanding of swimming strokes.

Experience: Minimum age of 15 years; experience working with children is preferred.

Skills: Outstanding customer service skills.

Certifications: First Aid/CPR certification is advantageous.
