Job Summary:

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing expert care to patients across the continuum of healthcare. With a strong foundation in pathophysiology, physical assessment, and diagnosis, the NP exercises authority in health promotion and disease management. This role requires a Master's degree in Nursing with clinical specialization, as well as two years of work experience as a Registered Nurse. Certification as an NP in the area of practice specialization is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a wide range of patient services to a specific patient population
  • Utilize the nursing process, scientific reasoning, and critical problem-solving to practice within the scope of responsibilities and prescriptive authority defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and the Medical Staff Executive at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide individualized, innovative, and specialized care to patients

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree in Nursing with clinical specialization
  • Two (2) years' work experience as a RN
  • Current licensed to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
