Job Summary

NV Energy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for administering and coordinating a broad scope of safety services and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety compliance programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct facility and job site safety and health inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Collaborate with company leadership to implement corrective actions and improve safety processes.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees, contractors, and the public on safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Respond to and investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
  • Associate degree from an accredited school and 7 years of related experience, or 9 years of experience without a degree.
  • OSHA 30-hour Outreach Training for Construction within 90 days of hire.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards, as well as standard electric utility safety program components.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
