Job Summary:

As an Assistant Rural Carrier with the US Postal Service, you will be responsible for delivering packages on Sundays and observed holidays using dynamic route descriptions. Your duties will include:

  • Delivering mail and packages on Saturday along a prescribed rural route using a vehicle.
  • Case, deliver, and collect mail and packages in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Providing excellent customer service to the public.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Rural Carrier, you will be an integral part of the US Postal Service team, working to deliver mail and packages to rural communities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering mail and packages to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Providing excellent customer service to the public, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring that mail and packages are delivered correctly and on time.
  • Collaborating with other team members to achieve goals and objectives, and contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements:

To be successful as an Assistant Rural Carrier, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • The ability to lift and carry mail and packages up to 70 pounds.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with the public.
