JOB DESCRIPTION:

The ideal candidate for the CFO/COO position will exhibit strong leadership and expertise in financial management, operational oversight, strategic planning, internal controls, and regulatory compliance. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, the CFO/COO will:

Financial Management Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Manage Revenue Cycle Operations
  • Implement Expense Management Strategies
  • Ensure Accurate Financial Reporting
  • Coordinate with Central Billing Office
  • Facilitate Regulatory Reporting
  • Lead Capital Planning and Management Initiatives

Operational Oversight:

  • Supervise Business Office Functions
  • Direct Revenue Cycle Management
  • Oversee Finance & Accounts Payable Departments
  • Manage Health Information Systems
  • Coordinate Materials Management
  • Oversee Dietary Services

Communication Responsibilities: Engage directly with the Hospital Management Team, Staff, Physicians, Governing Board, Executive Committees, and Senior Leaders from USPI and Baylor Health Care System.

Departmental Leadership: The CFO/COO will be directly responsible for:

  • Business Office operations including Registration, Scheduling, and IV/Auth
  • Revenue Cycle processes including Charge Capture, Collections, Accounts Payable, and Denials Management
  • Health Information Management
  • Materials Management
  • Dietary Services

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:
  • Recent experience in hospital financial management.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management and oversight of multiple departments.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Healthcare Administration, along with CPA certification, is preferred.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, analytical skills, and proficiency in computer applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
