Process Improvement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Process Improvement Specialist to join our team at American BOA Inc. as a Process Improvement Engineer.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial engineering or mechanical engineering and a passion for optimizing manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Process Documentation: Develop and maintain clear and concise work instructions to ensure consistent process execution.
- Time Studies: Conduct time studies to accurately measure cycle times and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Line Balancing: Analyze and balance production lines to optimize workflow, minimize bottlenecks, and maximize output.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to identify trends, root causes, and potential solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging employee involvement and problem-solving.
- BOM Routing/Costing: Maintain and update Bill of Materials (BOM) routing and costing information in SAP to ensure accurate cost calculations and production planning.
- Production Capacity Analysis: Analyze production capacity to identify constraints, optimize resource allocation, and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab, SQL).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including welding and assembly.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Kaizen methodology.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience working with APQP projects.
- Knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, PPAP, SPC, etc.).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive manufacturing.
- Experience with exhaust system manufacturing.
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC).
- Proficient with automation and robotics.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for fixture and gauge design.
- Experience in welding processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of robotic programming and operation.
