Position: Truck Driver - Transportation

Reporting To: Logistics Manager

Position Summary

The individual in this role will be responsible for transporting materials to various retail locations and retrieving returns. Duties include making scheduled deliveries and pickups, as well as handling additional items such as wiping cloths and laundry as assigned. The employee will assist in loading and unloading the vehicle with the help of a partner.

Responsibilities also include maintaining cleanliness at collection sites and accurately documenting all deliveries and pickups, submitting records to the Logistics Manager. The driver will ensure the vehicle is well-maintained, including regular checks on oil and fuel levels, and will communicate effectively with the Assistant Manager of Transportation or the Logistics Manager.

Additionally, the driver may be required to assist with cleanup tasks during weekends or as necessary.

Qualifications

The candidate should possess the ability to read and understand standard business English, accurately record information, and apply basic math skills. Compliance with Department of Transportation health and safety regulations is mandatory.

All employees are expected to follow Universal Precautions and report any waste cleanup needs as per Blood-borne pathogens standards. Annual review of the Corporate Responsibility Policy is required to ensure compliance.

Education and Experience

A minimum of elementary education is required, while a high school diploma or equivalent is advantageous but not mandatory. A tow motor license is preferred but not essential.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position, typically requiring eight hours of work per day.

Work Days

Workdays may vary, generally consisting of five days a week, with potential afternoon or weekend shifts based on company needs.

Overtime

Overtime is not routinely scheduled but may be necessary depending on operational demands.
