Position Overview:


Hold Brothers Capital, LLC, a prominent self-clearing proprietary broker-dealer, is in search of a Senior Vice President of Finance and Operations. This key role will oversee the self-clearing brokerage activities and associated affiliates while being an integral part of our executive leadership team.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the selected candidate will be tasked with the execution and oversight of financial and accounting processes, external filings, and financial reporting, along with maintaining accounting controls and functions.

This individual will work closely with various business units and functional teams to ensure the accurate production of consolidated financial statements and related disclosures in compliance with GAAP and SEC requirements. Furthermore, this position will keep a close watch on emerging SEC regulations and new U.S. GAAP accounting standards.



Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the CEO and senior management to manage daily operations of the proprietary trading firm.

• Conduct profit and loss and margin calculations to ensure data accuracy.

• Prepare financial statements and maintain records for the Broker-Dealer in accordance with GAAP, ensuring compliance with all regulatory reporting obligations.

• Partner with the CFO to provide essential support for financial analyses, reports, and strategic recommendations.

• Ensure the timely and accurate completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

• Stay informed about regulatory changes and provide strategic recommendations for process and control adjustments, overseeing their implementation.

• Maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and external auditors, in relation to the Broker-Dealer.

• Oversee tax planning and compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, payroll, property, and other taxes.

• Supervise and/or perform the Broker-Dealer's responsibilities under all financial responsibility rules established by the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.

• Provide strong expertise in accounting processes through effective communication and prompt responsiveness to both internal and external parties.

• Collaborate with all departments to ensure that financial information and new systems integrate seamlessly with accounting processes.

• Facilitate and/or execute the following tasks: FOCUS Reports, Net Capital Computations, Supplemental Schedule of Income (SSOI), Form Custody, Brokerage Statement Analysis, Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC) matters, Annual Audit Support, FINRA Examination Support, Accounting Due Diligence, and Bookkeeping.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; an advanced degree is preferred.

• Series 27 license is mandatory.

• CPA designation is preferred but not essential.

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in broker-dealer operations and/or finance, particularly in a FINOP or finance management role at a self-clearing broker-dealer.

• Extensive knowledge of broker-dealer operations and regulatory reporting requirements, including those of FINRA and the SEC.

• Proven analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data for informed decision-making.

• A trustworthy character with a proven ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.

• Experience across various disciplines, including Operations, Finance, Compliance, Risk Management, Cash Management, and Treasury, is advantageous.

Compensation:
Competitive salary range of $200,000 - $240,000
