The Position

We are looking for dedicated Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) to oversee and manage the distribution of cannabis products within our facility. In this capacity, you will act as the primary medical authority, ensuring that patients receive the appropriate dosage along with essential education and guidance. This role offers a unique chance to engage with patients on a personal level, providing insights into their treatment options. You will be responsible for conducting thorough drug utilization reviews to evaluate: the suitability of therapy; the correct strain, dosage, administration method, and duration; potential allergies and drug interactions; and risks of misuse. We seek individuals who are passionate about medical cannabis and possess the medical knowledge necessary to assist our patients in using it safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) must be present in-store throughout their scheduled shifts to facilitate the dispensing of cannabis products.
  • Accountable for arranging coverage for any absences (both paid and unpaid). Schedule modifications should be communicated to management in advance, adhering to fair scheduling practices.
  • Evaluate patient certifications to monitor for any restrictions and assist patients in determining the most suitable treatment options.
  • Promote retail sales and enhance patient loyalty.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations.
  • Communicate any restrictions to the dispensary team to manage product selection and quantity limitations.
  • Provide accurate and timely medication information to patients both in-person and via phone.
  • Educate both new and existing patients on the benefits and properties of cannabis.
  • Consult with patients and assess their certifications to recommend the best treatment pathways.
  • Stay informed on the latest research and developments related to cannabis.
  • Assist with additional dispensary tasks as deemed necessary by the store manager, including product deliveries, inventory management, employee training, fulfilling online orders, and processing patient transactions at the registers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be a registered Pharmacist in good standing with the state or meet alternative licensing requirements such as D.O., M.D., or Licensed Nurse Practitioner.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant pharmacy experience with a strong focus on patient and customer service.
  • Completion of the PA Department of Health's Cannabis Health Professional training certificate is required.
  • Ability to comprehend cannabinoids and their interactions with the human body.
  • Experience with Point of Sale technology systems is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management and sales reporting.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and innovative, capable of working independently or collaboratively with sound judgment and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Exhibits a high level of critical thinking.
  • Maintains professionalism and integrity, particularly when handling confidential information.
  • Must understand and comply with the regulations, policies, and procedures of Green Thumb.
  • Possesses a solid understanding of cannabis laws and regulations, with a commitment to furthering knowledge in the industry.
Additional Requirements
  • Must successfully pass all required background checks.
  • Must remain compliant with all legal and company regulations for employment in the industry.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be approved by the state badging agency to work in the cannabis sector.
