The Technical Engineer - Associate will play a key role in developing technical proficiency and applying good engineering practices in assigned process areas at the Houston facility. This position will collect, analyze, and report on plant process performance, working closely with operations and maintenance teams on plant continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams to stay current with day-to-day activities and address process and equipment concerns.
• Utilize process data to support continuous improvement efforts and investigate incidents impacting product quality.
• Perform scheduled process quality internal audits and present findings, maintaining operating work instructions and procedures for designated areas.
• Coordinate raw material and finished product trials and provide technical support for small capital project work in designated areas.
• Work with the Engineering Department to design equipment according to Recognized And Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP) and measure business impact following project implementation.
Requirements:
• BS Engineering (Chemical preferred)
• 2+ years' experience as an engineer in a chemical manufacturing process
• Experience in working with multidisciplinary technical associates to achieve cost-effective goals
• Project management experience preferred
