Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical SAS Programmer to contribute to our projects at Penfield Search Partners. This role involves a range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the integrity and accuracy of clinical data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently design and validate programs that create SDTM and analysis datasets in accordance with ADaM specifications.
  • Prepare and conduct quality control on documentation for ADaM datasets, including Reviewer's Guide and analysis metadata reports.
  • Develop and validate programs for generating tables and listings as outlined in the protocol or Statistical Analysis Plan (SAP).
  • Perform thorough quality control on final reports to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Generate QC and validation reports to maintain high standards of data integrity.
  • Assist in the development of technical programming specifications aligned with ADaM standards.
  • Engage in effective communication with programming leads, statistics teams, data managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates on programming activities and project progress.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related Life Sciences field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in statistical programming within the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Contract Research sectors.
  • Proficient in SAS programming in both Windows and UNIX environments, with strong skills in SAS/Base, SAS Macros, and SAS/Stat.
  • Familiarity with SAS Grid environments and experience with SAS Enterprise Guide and SAS Studio is advantageous.
  • Experience across all clinical trial phases (I, II, III, and IV) is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of clinical trial standards, including CDISC, SDTM, ADaM, MedDRA, and WHODRUG.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple tasks and deliver effective solutions in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
