Nurse Specialist - Wound Care

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Specialist to join our team at South Central Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our residents receive high-quality wound care and restorative nursing services.

About the Position:

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing, preferably with experience in wound care and restorative nursing. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively with colleagues and residents, and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive wound care and restorative nursing services to residents
  • Conduct daily rounds to direct restorative care partners in the delivery of direct resident care
  • Develop and implement restorative care plans for each resident
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of restorative care programs
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent experience
  • Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in Mississippi
  • Certification in wound care or certified within 1 year or hire/promotion to the position
  • Completed training in restorative nursing services or complete training within 90 days of hire/promotion to the position
