As a vital member of the diagnostic imaging team, you will utilize your expertise under the supervision of a Radiologist to produce exceptional mammographic images that are crucial for the screening and diagnosis of breast tissue anomalies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educational Background: Completion of an accredited Radiology Technology program with focused training and certification in Mammography.
- Licensure Requirements: Possession of a valid Texas state license and registration with the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R). Mammography certification (ARRT-M) is essential.
- Professional Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in Mammography with at least twelve months of relevant experience within the past three years in a comparable position.
- CPR Certification: Must hold current certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Healthcare Workers or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) for Healthcare Workers.
- Regulatory Compliance: Must possess knowledge of and adhere to HIPAA regulations, ensuring the confidentiality of patient information.
- Infection Control Practices: Commitment to Infection Control, Standard Precautions, and OSHA standards applicable to healthcare settings.
- Personal Protective Equipment: Ability to effectively use personal protective equipment (e.g., masks, goggles, gloves) as required.
- Collaborative Skills: Capable of working both independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage and complete tasks efficiently.
- Communication Proficiency: Effective in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
- Medical Knowledge: Familiarity with medical and surgical terminology is required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to perform physical tasks such as stooping, bending, squatting, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds; must maintain normal, correctable vision and hearing, and be able to accurately distinguish colors as necessary for job functions.
