Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse to join our team at the University of California, Irvine. As a NICU Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care to newborns and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to newborns in the NICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients and families.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Current California RN license.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS and NRP certification.
  • At least 1 year of NICU Level III RN experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
