Early Childhood Educator

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Concord Hospital. As a key member of our childcare staff, you will play a vital role in promoting the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children in our care.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with each child and family.
- Engage with children to meet their developmental and social-emotional needs.
- Model and teach children self-regulation skills.
- Implement a child-centered curriculum in a safe, organized environment.
- Observe children to assess development, share information with families, and plan curriculum accordingly.
- Support and follow Concord Hospital and Learning Center policies and procedures.
- Complete administrative tasks required for NH Child Care licensing, NAEYC accreditation, and per Learning Center policies.
- Demonstrate leadership skills as needed.
- Commit to continual learning and professional development; suggest improvements based on best practice.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 12 credits in Early Childhood Education, including 3 from a Child Growth and Development course, all from a regionally accredited college.
- Must be certified in Infant and Child CPR, including AED training, and Basic First Aid within 6 months of hire.
- Must complete Water Safety training within 1 year of employment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have a minimum of two years' experience working with young children in a group setting.

The Dictionary of Occupational Titles Material Handling Classification is MEDIUM. The employee must regularly lift, carry, or push/pull up to 10 pounds, frequently lift, carry, or push/pull up to 10-25 pounds, and occasionally lift, carry, or push/pull up to 20-50 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to hear and speak. The employee is frequently required to bend, reach, smell, and walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb, kneel, perform activities that require fine motor skills, sit, squat, and stand.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, far vision, near vision, and peripheral vision.
The employee is frequently exposed to bodily fluids. The employee is occasionally exposed to airborne contaminants, airborne pathogens, bloodborne pathogens, moving mechanical parts, non-weather-related heat or cold, slippery surfaces, toxic or caustic chemicals, and variable weather conditions.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
