Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the laboratory team, ensuring effective management of personnel, resources, and operations.
  • Quality and Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and internal policies, maintaining a culture of quality and excellence.
  • Operational Efficiency: Optimize laboratory operations, streamlining processes, and implementing cost-effective solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with medical staff, hospital administrators, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to achieve shared goals.
  • Professional Development: Provide guidance and support to laboratory staff, promoting professional growth, and development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Certification: Current certification by a recognized agency, such as MT/MLS(ASCP) or categorical, MT(HEW), MT(AMT), CLS(NCA).
  • Experience: Minimum three years' experience in an accredited laboratory, with two to five years' management experience and/or other clinical progressive leadership/management experience.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
