About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral researcher to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in neuroscience, rehabilitation, or engineering, with expertise in clinical and/or neuromechanical assessment of human limb movements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in the field of physical rehabilitation, focusing on the neuromechanics of whole limb movements in able-bodied persons and individuals with spinal cord injury.
  • Collect, record, analyze, and present data, maintaining accurate research records and databases.
  • Assist with recruiting patients for clinical trials, obtaining patient study data from medical records, and using software programs to generate graphs and reports.
  • Prepare reports of completed projects for publication in technical journals, presentations at professional meetings/conferences, and further applied or theoretical research activities.
  • Participate in manuscript writing for publication in scientific journals and/or presentations, draft grants and portions of grants for submission to federal and private agencies, and stay current in the area of research interest through review of relevant literature.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in neurologic rehabilitation research, with publication in clinical research.
  • Expertise in clinical and/or neuromechanical assessment of human limb movements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, confident, articulate, and professional communication skills, and the ability to efficiently and professionally communicate in English (oral and written).
