Job Title: General Manager

At Compass Group Careers, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to join our team. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our clients receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise a team of food service professionals to ensure excellent customer service and food quality.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to increase sales and revenue growth.
  • Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and other expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to develop and implement menus that meet client expectations.
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and receiving to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, employees, and other stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service and retention.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Food Service, or related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in food service management, including 6 years at the management level.
  • Proven track record of success in managing food service operations, including financial management, inventory control, and staff supervision.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
