Position Summary:

The Senior Vice President of Investment is tasked with managing a media portfolio exceeding $1 billion. This role demands a dynamic media leader capable of enhancing brand visibility through significant partnerships, challenging industry norms, and achieving superior negotiation outcomes. The position encompasses total investment responsibilities across a wide array of channels, including traditional and digital media.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee investment strategies, activation processes, partnerships, and market navigation for one of Publicis' premier accounts.
  • Lead a team of over 60 skilled professionals, fostering expertise in media practices, negotiation techniques, and effective storytelling.
  • Drive innovation through a relentless pursuit of excellence and boundary-pushing collaborations.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization, including key stakeholders across various departments.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of business priorities, consumer behaviors, and current market trends.
  • Achieve annual cost guarantees through strategic negotiations and proactive savings initiatives.
  • Manage revenue forecasts and create new profit opportunities through proprietary offerings.
  • Implement staffing strategies, team development, and succession planning.
  • Act as a primary contributor in proposal scopes.
  • Facilitate large-scale partnerships, including industry-leading investments.
  • Coordinate between media and creative teams on both agency and client sides.
  • Develop market entry strategies and budget allocations informed by extensive media knowledge.
  • Advise clients and team members on market conditions and emerging opportunities.

  • Serve as the escalation point for all investment-related matters.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
  • Extensive agency experience, particularly in managing large client accounts valued between $500 million and $1 billion.
  • 15+ years of experience in digital media buying, video media buying, and branded content, with additional experience in other channels preferred.
  • 12+ years of management experience, demonstrating strong leadership and mentorship capabilities.
  • Proven ability to inspire, innovate, and collaborate effectively.
  • Expertise in recruiting and retaining top talent.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, with experience in Upfront negotiations preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in audience-driven media investment strategies.
  • Experience leading tactical campaigns across various business lines.
  • Proven track record in managing cost guarantees.
  • Success in revenue-driven agency solutions is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to present effectively to C-suite executives.
  • Strong marketplace reputation and relationships.
  • Analytical, research, and quantitative skills are essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the technology marketplace, including key publishers and trends.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, including formulas and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Prisma, Media Ocean, and research platforms like Nielsen and Comscore is preferred.
  • Experience in leveraging data-driven investment activation and measurement analysis.
