Radiology Patient Flow Associate

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Radiology Patient Flow Associate in Manhattan. In this role, you will perform all aspects of coordinating and expediting care in regards to patient movement in the Department of Radiology.
Your primary responsibility will be to serve as a resource for the radiology department, communicating escalation prioritization and delays in imaging. You will also be responsible for directing coordination to ensure efficient patient flow within the imaging section of Radiology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all other duties assigned by management.
- Identify patient care requirements by establishing rapport and communication with patients, families, radiology staff, and patient transport.
- Gain patient cooperation and reduce anxieties by providing explanations of treatment delays regarding radiology studies and clinical care.
- Utilize the EPIC electronic medical system to track patients and their care to prioritize patient movement.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and radiology technologists to help prepare patients for examinations.
- Prepare patients for imaging exams following departmental protocols.
- Function as a liaison with radiologic technologists, nursing, and other clinical staff to ensure proper documentation and appropriate exams for patients.
- Resolve patient-related grievances by working with patient relations representatives.
- Facilitate storing patient valuables in the designated secured lockers and documenting the location in the electronic medical records.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
- Attend nursing shift huddles, regular staff meetings, and in-services.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 Annually.
