Job Summary

Morada Temple is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Facility Operations Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our facilities department, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents, guests, and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy environment by performing routine maintenance duties, including repairs and maintenance of grounds, buildings, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as fixing wall and floor coverings, repairing furniture and fixtures, performing basic plumbing work, and minor electrical repairs.
  • Assist in the execution of the preventative maintenance program to ensure the longevity of our facilities.
  • Work on heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water systems, pumps, refrigeration systems, motors, fans, electrical systems, and emergency generators.
  • Perform carpet and hard surface floor maintenance, as well as deep cleaning and resident suite 'make ready' rooms as assigned.
  • Assist with Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness Evacuation procedures.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Technical school education preferred.
  • One (1) year maintenance experience preferred.
  • Basic technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and code compliance, as well as mechanical ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • General understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently.
