Tenure-Track Meteorology Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a tenure-track position as an Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Meteorology at the Naval Postgraduate School.
Key Responsibilities:- Teach approximately 4 course sections per year, focusing on synoptic-scale weather systems, mesoscale/coastal meteorology, and forecasting.
- Advise student M.S. theses and Ph.D. dissertations, providing guidance and support to help students achieve their academic goals.
- Establish and maintain an externally-funded research program, conducting research in atmospheric science and publishing papers on scientific research results.
- Serve on various Department and School-wide committees, contributing to the development and implementation of academic policies and programs.
- A Doctoral degree in Meteorology or a related field, with a strong background in atmospheric science.
- An interest and aptitude for academic teaching, with a focus on developing and delivering high-quality courses.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully publish scientific research papers, with a strong track record of research productivity.
- An ability to obtain research funding, with a proven record of securing grants and awards.
- Evidence of potential to advise student theses and dissertations, with a strong understanding of academic advising and mentoring.
