Associate Actuary Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Actuary to join our team at Insight Global. As an Associate Actuary, you will play a key role in collaborating with other actuaries and colleagues to solve important business problems.

Potential Projects:
  • Conduct pricing studies to evaluate the profitability of our Auto, Homeowners, and Workers Compensation insurance products
  • Analyze rating variables and recommend pricing changes to maintain a competitive edge
  • Perform competitor analysis to stay aware of pricing and product developments in the marketplace
  • Collaborate with the Predictive Analytics team on modeling projects to drive business growth
  • Partner with Marketing to optimize advertising expenditures and drive higher returns
  • Analyze usage-based insurance (UBI) data and provide recommendations on pricing changes
  • Perform trend analysis to understand changes in the frequency and severity of insurance claims
  • Analyze the impact of crash avoidance technology on Auto insurance claims

Required Skills & Experience:
  • At least 4 years of P&C actuarial experience
  • A Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related major
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ACAS credential

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
