Associate Actuary Job Description

As an Associate Actuary at Insight Global, you will collaborate with a team of experienced actuaries and colleagues to drive business growth and improve profitability. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting pricing studies to evaluate the profitability of our Auto, Homeowners, and Workers Compensation insurance products
  • Analyzing rating variables and recommending pricing changes to maintain a competitive edge
  • Collaborating with the Predictive Analytics team on modeling projects to identify trends and opportunities
  • Partnering with Marketing to optimize advertising expenditures and drive higher returns
  • Analyzing usage-based insurance (UBI) data and providing recommendations on pricing changes
  • Performing trend analysis to understand changes in the frequency and severity of insurance claims
  • Collaborating with the Auto insurance team to analyze the impact of crash-avoidance technology on claims

Required skills and experience include:

  • At least 4 years of P&C actuarial experience
  • A Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related major
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ACAS credential

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
