Licensed Vocational Nurse

Temple Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to our hospital's mission to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those we serve.
Responsibilities:- Provide patient care considering needs specific to the standard of care for patient's age, including geriatric and general inpatient rehabilitation patients.
- Assist with the assessment of all patients and reassessments as per policy, identifying and initiating appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions.
- Carry out the plan of care as indicated by the patient's needs and response to treatment, evaluating overall plan daily for effectiveness and updating interdisciplinary care plan accordingly.
- Interact professionally with patient/family and involve patient/family in the formation of the plan of care.
- Demonstrate ability to adequately assess and reassess pain, utilizing appropriate pain management techniques and educating the patient and family regarding pain management.
- Graduate of accredited licensed practical/vocational nurse program.
- Current state licensure as Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse.
- CPR/BCLS certification, ACLS preferred.
- IV Certified required or obtained within 6 months highly preferred.
- Minimum six months' Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
