Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Physician Assistant to join our team in the Emergency Division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency medicine and excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities- Provide emergency treatment and triage to patients
- Issue appropriate prescriptions and administer medication as needed
- Inform physicians about any problems and consult with them to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
- Acquire and review patient histories to identify abnormal conditions and develop effective treatment plans
- Monitor patients' progress and keep accurate records of treatments
- Examine patients and conduct routine procedures as required
- Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and supported throughout their care journey
- Takes ownership of representing BPA's mission and organizational goals established by the executive committee
- Comply strictly with medical care regulations and safety standards
- Collaborate effectively with team members of various specializations to deliver comprehensive care
- Perform physicals, diagnostic tests, and screening evaluations as necessary
- Provides care to patients in a safe environment, adhering to all relevant guidelines and protocols
- Participates in departmental Continuous Quality Improvement efforts and provides support for improvement of identified issues
- Works with Administration to ensure collaborative problem solving with staff through participation in identification, mediation, and resolution of issues and team problems
- Promotes staff and community enhancement through coordination of in-services to staff, Physicians, and partners to promote profession and organization
- Attends department staff meetings, Provider meetings, and other scheduled meetings
- Maintains Quality Performance measures
- Maintains predetermined productivity based on patient volumes
- Maintains internal customer satisfaction
- Clear and active Physician Assistant licensure
- 1 Year experience of Emergency Department experience in a hospital setting
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
- Proficient in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to speak and understand the English language
- Extensive knowledge of physical assessment, differential diagnosis
The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000-$180,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
